My Background
I have been creating foam sculptures for almost 40 years. My Dad was one of the first insulation contractors to use polyurethane foam. I learned about the product working with him and soon began carving with this medium, and using it in creative ways to make 3D sculptures.
My Medium
My Inspiration
My Background
My primary medium is polyurethane foam. It is lightweight, and easy to carve. The foam is sprayed onto metal armitures for structural stability. Once I have the general shape I begin carving the piece. When the carving is complete I paint the sculpture with weather durable paints that allow my creations to be outside for years with minimal maintenance.
